چکیده
We aimed to investigate the expression and significance of Epstein-Barr virus-latent membrane protein 1 in human immunodeficiency virus-related diffuse large B-cell lymphomas. 22 cases lymphomas samples were collected. The control group consisted 7 non-human lymphomas, 6 virus-reactive hyperplasia virus. was detected by immunohistochemistry analyzed combination with clinicopathology characteristics. total positive rate 77.3 % 71.4 Most related cells showed nuclear staining pattern 82.4 60 There no significant difference between benign lesion. non-germinal center B cell significantly higher than that germinal However, had correlation sex, age, location tumor clinical stage (p>0.05). mainly located overexpressed suggesting overexpression involved tumourogenesis correlated immunophenotype As prognosis different subgroups, may be potential marker for

BCL2 Family Related Genes Expression and Chemotherapy Response in Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma
Background and Objective: Approximately half of patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma are cured with current chemotherapy regimens. The purpose of this study was to evaluate Bax and Bcl2 expression and their relationship with the response to chemotherapy. Materials and Methods This study was a prospective analysis on 44 patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Their specimens we...
متن کاملEpstein-Barr virus infection and expression of B-cell oncogenic markers in HIV-related diffuse large B-cell Lymphoma.
PURPOSE Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-mediated lymphomagenesis in the setting of HIV infection has been widely accepted. However, little is known about how EBV impacts prognosis. We investigated the hypothesis that EBV infection is associated with expression of specific B-cell oncogenic markers in HIV-related diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and examined the prognostic use of detecting EBV infe...
متن کاملExpression of the Epstein-Barr virus latent membrane protein 1 induces B cell lymphoma in transgenic mice.
The latent membrane protein 1 (LMP1) of the Epstein-Barr virus has transforming properties in rodent fibroblasts and is expressed in most of the cancers associated with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection including posttransplant lymphomas, Hodgkin's disease, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and AIDS-related lymphomas. In this study, three lineages of LMP1 transgenic mice were established with LMP1 exp...
متن کاملEpstein-Barr virus latent membrane protein-1 (LMP-1) expression in oral squamous cell carcinoma.
OBJECTIVES Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is frequently associated with malignant cell transformation through the action of the oncoprotein latent membrane protein-1 (LMP-1). The present study aimed to determine the presence of EBV in oral squamous cell carcinomas (OSCCs) and the expression of LMP-1 in neoplastic cells of EBV-positive OSCCs. STUDY DESIGN/METHODS In a retrospective study of 78 OSCCs...
متن کاملEpstein-Barr virus latent infection membrane protein increases vimentin expression in human B-cell lines.
Latent Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection activates B-lymphocyte proliferation through mechanisms which are partially known. One approach to further delineate these mechanisms is to identify cellular genes whose expression is augmented in cells latently infected with EBV. Since EBV-negative Burkitt's lymphoma cells can be grown in continuous culture and EBV can establish growth-altering latent ...
